I know I haven’t been around here much, and frankly haven’t written anything really interesting since before last year. However, soon that may change. I’m going to begin redesigning my site and make it focus more on the content. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get into the habit of writing interesting posts on a wide-range of topics and hopefully gain some real readership here.

Of course it’s all well and good hoping to do that, but we’ll have to see.

Another thing to mention is I’ve got some ideas for a clothing line I’m setting up. Nothing too special or interesting. Just gonna make a design, print it on a hundred or so tshirts and jumpers and shit and see if anyone wants to buy them. If not then I’ll just have a lot of tshirts to wear and give away! xD

Did you miss me?

No – of course you didn’t. No one reads this blog! Nonetheless I felt the urge to update what readers this blog does have on what’s going on in my life at the moment.

First things first. BIG NEWS! Somehow I’ve landed a full-time job and as a result dropped out of college. That’s right! I’m now a Junior Designer at a small company called Alive. I’ve been there for just over two months now, and it’s pretty good!

lready I’ve learned mountains there and I’m sure I will continue doing so. It’s also taught me a lot about adult life, certainly in the sense of learning to budget myself and paying bills and stuff like that.

I suppose my only wish is that I could get my teeth stuck into something more self-directed and substantial, but it’s easy to forget after working freelance that I’m not my own boss anymore and it’s weird adjusting to that. Not to mention I’m straight out of school and although I have a portfolio of work, I’ve yet to really prove my abilities.

Leading on from that I’m hoping to get one or more personal projects on the go. Nothing too strenuous, but just something to call my own and have a bit of fun with. I’m still unsure as to whether to make a simple little blog or something or whether to break into something new, like ecommerce and start designing and selling my own products.

I’ve always had a strong interest in product design, so I’d love to be able to make my own product and sell it on. Even if it’s not necessarily for profit.

I’ve got a shit ton of ideas on the table, but my next step is figuring out a plan on how to do it. I also need funding for those ideas. Probably going to invest my own money to make a prototype and then use Kickstarter to actually fund production… Maybe.

As I’ve learned I’m great at starting an idea, but not so great at following it through…

Today after seeing an empty packet of Haribo Tangfastics littered on the ground, it caused me crave some myself. So I walked down to the spar and bought some.

On the way back up it occurred to me that perhaps littering serves as some pseudo-form of advertising. Perhaps littering isn’t so bad… for the pockets of branded corporations anyway.

Just a random meaningless thought… and something to write on this generally quiet blog.

Not a lot. Although I’m still alive, so that’s always a plus!

Most interesting thing at the moment, is that I’m taking my GCSE exams (fun…), which I’ve concluded I will most likely fail. Perhaps because I’m a pessimist, or because I’m just being honest with myself. Kinda wished I’d done more revision, but such is life. Too late. I should have enough GCSEs to get into college anyway — I only need one more C technically — so perhaps I shouldn’t worry so much.

I’m also hunting for jobs, although being sixteen with no ‘real’ experience or qualifications probably won’t get me any further than scrubbing dishes again &mdash which for the record I absolutely despise now. Next person who puts a scourer near me is going home sore. I hate lasagne dishes too; still have a scar from where one burnt me.

Well anyway, I’ll try and update the blog more often, maybe write a few tutorials or something; moan and rant perhaps? Honestly, it’d be nice to get more than 3 visits a day to site for once.

I’m only going to write a brief post on this. As you might notice the new site is finally up! I’ve put a lot of time and effort into this, so I really hope you like it. Hopefully I’ll keep the blog updated – although I doubt I will.
