Well I for one was disappointed by the album. I’m not sure that you can base how good a CD is on how open-minded you are, after all it’s just down to personal taste isn’t it? Should I really have to try very hard to like something just because it’s by two people I respect? All bands make dud albums. I’d love to rate it higher, but sentimentality does not make an honest review. Sorry guys for me it’s 4/10. Feel free to tell me I “don’t get it” but I know what I like and this isn’t it.

I like AttackAttack’s latest album, but for me they’ve always been standard metalcore.

I like core music as a bit of fun, but the older I get the more I grow out of that and pop-punk. In fact I’m starting to lean closer to the electronic scene now. Deffo a big fan of Drum ‘n’ Bass and Deep House

EDIT: That sounds entirely hypocritical when I say I hate them using electronics and auto tune But my point is mainly that metalcore does not generally work well with autotune and electronics except in extreme circumstances. Personal preference perhaps. Crossfaith had it nailed, and I think Enter Shikari and Korn have done a decent job fusing metal with electro.

I loved Austin in Attack Attack, lol. Someday Came Suddenly is seriously one of my most favourite albums ever. But yeah I’m excited to see how the new OM&M stuff sounds, Joey Sturgis (who’s mixing it) said it sounds pretty heavy haha.

Heard the album. I like it a lot. Since the trend with these two is to multiple listens = love the music , I’m gonna be doing that. Rest assured I can see it happening. The album has a deep atmospheric feel. And every part of every single track is significant. Its not meant however for casual listening. If u do listen to it casually it is gonna sound like cheap elevator music that a washed out popstar was too bored to write. The track that first really caught my attention is Ljudet Innan. Makes me feel like I’m passing neon glowing lights while I’m flying through a thick fog. Strange!… But thats the album. Enjoy what is for sure to masterpiece eventually. 4.5/5

Just listened for the first time straight through and was intrigued being pulled away by the calm and sweet atmospheres and then ‘woken up’ and even scared at times by the eerie tones and abrupt changes in sounds. Definitely an experimental collaboration that I will enjoy and appreciate more with each listen. Not everyones cup of tea but worth a spin to broaden your musical horizons.

I’m on my first full listen and I love it already. Now, I’m admittedly more into the jazz/progressive sides of both bands, but the compositions in this album are eloquent and Steven Wilson makes the most dynamic and lush mixes on Earth. It just lacks hooks, but I don’t mind that one bit.

Perhaps, but my definition of ‘timeless’ is an album I can listen to for years without it getting stale, which this album most probably is. That said, it isn’t the type of music I particularly love to listen to regularly, which is why I lowered my rating. For the aforementioned listeners though, I agree it is a 9 or 10 for them.
